A Filed Coin

What value remains in a filed coin?
The silver shaved and filed
flakes and dust meticulously collected
melted into another just like it
Like it enough, anyway
to fool the eye of the merchant.
Fooled twice it seems:
once by the counterfeit,
once by the filed coin and
maybe fooled altogether again
by something too rich to speak.
